EAST STOCKWITH PARISH COUNCIL

ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

AIMS

  • To recognise that some if not all of our activities impact on the environment
  • To ensure that environmental issues are integral to the working practices of this Council
  • To take environmental issues into consideration when awarding tenders
  • To consider environmental issues when buying goods for Council use

OBJECTIVES

  • Formulate effective procedures to identify environmental issues
  • Lay down procedures to be followed when issues are identified
  • Monitor the effectiveness of the policy and revise and amend as necessary
  • To ensure the Council keep up to date with new directives
  • To maintain open spaces to the best possible standards
  • To ensure that the Parish has facilities for public enjoyment of the environment

REPORTING

  • All environmental issues to be reported at Parish Council  meetings
  • Steps taken to rectify such issues to be reported to the Parish Council
  • Any situation which cannot be resolved by the Parish Council to be reported immediately to West Lindsey District Council
  • To maximise the use of IT for communication

This policy is reviewed at the Annual Parish Council meeting in May
