EAST STOCKWITH PARISH COUNCIL
ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
AIMS
- To recognise that some if not all of our activities impact on the environment
- To ensure that environmental issues are integral to the working practices of this Council
- To take environmental issues into consideration when awarding tenders
- To consider environmental issues when buying goods for Council use
OBJECTIVES
- Formulate effective procedures to identify environmental issues
- Lay down procedures to be followed when issues are identified
- Monitor the effectiveness of the policy and revise and amend as necessary
- To ensure the Council keep up to date with new directives
- To maintain open spaces to the best possible standards
- To ensure that the Parish has facilities for public enjoyment of the environment
REPORTING
- All environmental issues to be reported at Parish Council meetings
- Steps taken to rectify such issues to be reported to the Parish Council
- Any situation which cannot be resolved by the Parish Council to be reported immediately to West Lindsey District Council
- To maximise the use of IT for communication
